How do I register for units?

Unit registration is done during the first three weeks of the semester through the Student Portal.
Students are required to have paid at least 60% of the applicable fees before registering for units.
Follow these steps to register for your units:
- Log in to the Student Portal.
- Navigate to the Academics section.
- Select the units you intend to take during the semester.
- Submit your unit selection.
- The selected units will be displayed under Selected Units for confirmation.
- Review the selected units carefully.
- If you selected a unit by mistake, click Drop Unit to remove it.
- Once you have confirmed that the selection is correct, submit the units to complete the registration process.
Important: Unit registration should be completed within the designated registration period. Make sure you confirm your selected units before submitting them. -
How do I access my provisional results slip?

Your Provisional Results Slip can be accessed through the Student Portal.
- Log in to the Student Portal.
- Navigate to the Academics section.
- Select the option for your Provisional Results Slip.
- View or download your results slip as provided by the system.

What is the Student Portal
-
The Student Portal is an online platform through which students interact with and access various university services.
Through the Student Portal, students can:
- View and update their personal information.
- View their financial information.
- Access academic information.
- Register for units for the semester.
- Access their academic results and other student records.
Students access the portal using their registration number as the username.
For first-time access, the password is the student's National ID number or Birth Certificate number.

Why does my Student Portal say "You are not registered for the current semester"?

If your Student Portal displays the message:
"You are not registered for the current sem"
it may indicate that your student account is not currently active for the semester.
This may occur if you:
- Deferred your studies.
- Are on academic leave.
- Are on deferment.
- Are under suspension.
- Have had your student account deactivated for another reason.
If you believe that you should be registered for the current semester, please visit the Office of the Registrar (Academic and Student Affairs) for assistance and rectification of your student status.
Note: If you have recently completed the required registration or fee payment process and the message persists, contact the relevant university office for assistance. -
How do I reset my Student Portal password?

If you have forgotten your Student Portal password, you can reset it directly from the Student Portal login page.
- Open the Student Portal.
- On the login page, click Reset Password.
- Follow the instructions provided by the system.
- After the reset, use your National ID number or Birth Certificate number as your password, according to the current university system reset procedure.
- Log in and change your password to a secure password if the system prompts you to do so.
Security: Never share your Student Portal password with another person. University staff will not require you to disclose your password. -
